Meningitis Vaccine

To help you with ensuring that your upcoming 12th grader gets the Meningitis vaccine necessary to attend 12th grade, the school nurses and Cleveland County Public Health Center are offering this vaccine in a drive-through vaccine clinic in each of the 4 school zones the week of June 1st.

The drive-thru vaccine clinics will be held on:

June 2nd at Crest High School from 11am to 1pm in the Bus Parking Lot.  Please enter from Crest Road.

June 3rd at Shelby High School from 10am until 12pm.  Please enter from the Shannonhouse St/Spirit Rock Entrance.

June 4th at Burns Middle School from 2:30pm until 4:30pm.  Please enter using the car rider entrance to approach the Bus Parking Lot.

June 5th at KM Intermediate School from 2:30pm until 4:30pm.  Please enter using the Bus Parking Lot Entrance.

You can save time by completing the forms for the vaccine clinic ahead of time, and if possible turning in the completed paperwork at your child’s school by May 27th.  See your child’s email for the packet, or pick one up at your child’s school.  It is important that you bring any insurance cards that represent your child’s insurance coverage to the vaccine clinic.  Please don’t bring anyone who is sick, and note, no vaccines will be administered to anyone who is sick.

Parent permission forms for the vaccine that were turned in previously, as long as they were complete, will be available at the drive-through clinic in your school zone, and can be utilized to get the vaccine.  Reach out to your school nurse if you have questions.

We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity if your child hasn’t yet received the required vaccine!
