Graduation - Friday, June 3rd, 8:00 p.m. in the stadium

Graduation is an exciting time and a milestone in your life. The ceremony should be dignified and allow each individual graduate to be recognized. Participating in graduation ceremonies is a privilege. In order to participate, you must meet graduation requirements, pay all outstanding fees, attend all mandatory practices and events, follow dress code, and comply with school rules. Read all of the information outlined in this document carefully. Be sure to schedule time off of work in advance.


Graduation Requirements

Senior grades will be due Wednesday, June 1, 2022 by 4 p.m. All student work must be completed prior to Wednesday June 1st. There will be no exceptions and no extensions for assignment completion. 


Fees and Fines

All fees and fines must be paid by Wednesday, June 1, 2022 by 4 p.m. to participate in graduation. Outstanding fee balances will be reported to you by May 13, 2022 providing you ample time to meet all financial obligations.

Mandatory Events

Graduation Practice - Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 8:30 a.m.

Awards Ceremony - Thursday, June 2, 2022 arrive at 5:15 p.m.

Graduation - Friday, June 3, 2022 arrive at 6:15 p.m.

Please note: You must attend graduation practice and the awards ceremony to be eligible to participate in graduation ceremonies.



Dress Code for Awards Ceremony and Graduation

Boys - You are expected to wear a white collared dress shirt, dark dress pants (dark brown, black, dark navy), and black or brown dress shoes for both events. You will wear your graduation gown, stole, any honors cords, cap and tassel for both events.You can only wear cords that have been distributed to you by the school.

Please note: If you do not have the required dress and are unable to obtain proper attire, please notify Mrs. Harmon or Mrs. Beam by May 31st. We can assist you with getting the required garments.


Girls - You are expected to wear a dress with dress shoes (wedges or sandals). We highly recommend that you avoid wearing high heels. Heels sink in the dirt and make it difficult to walk on the field and stage. No flip flops please. You will wear your graduation gown, stole, any honors cords, cap and tassel for both events. You can only wear cords that have been distributed to you by the school.

School Rules 

You are required to follow all school rules at graduation practice and both ceremonies. Failure to follow the rules may prevent you from participating in graduation. 


Parking

Students - For graduation practice, students will park on the practice football field and enter the stadium through the fieldhouse gates. Students that drive themselves to graduation will also park on the practice football field. For awards night, students will park in student parking to the right of school.


Handicap and Special Guests - Presenters and handicap parking will be on the stadium side of the building for awards night and graduation.


Parents - Parents will park in staff and student parking for both ceremonies to the right of the building. Overflow parking for graduation will be on the practice football field.


Graduation Seating

The stage will face the home side of the stadium. All guests for graduation will enter and sit on the home side of the stadium. The visitors side of the stadium will remain locked.


Handicap seating will be on the track. Handicap guests may enter the stadium at the fieldhouse gates. 


The stadium will open for seating at 6 p.m. on the night of graduation.


There is no seating limit for the stadium. If for some reason the ceremony is moved to the gym, seating will be limited. Tickets for gym seating will be distributed to students at graduation practice.


Refreshments

Bottled water will be sold for $1.00 per bottle from the concession stand for graduation.

 

Cleveland Community College will provide water for seniors at graduation practice.

 

 Videographer

Chad Medford Video Services will record the ceremony. Information about obtaining a video will be provided to seniors at the May 13th senior meeting.
